PJ Bloom is a widely respected 25-year entertainment Industry veteran and considered one of the premier talents in the music Industry today. He is a Grammy-winning soundtrack producer, 2x Guild of Music Supervisors Award winner, 2x ASCAP Award winner, 4x BMI Award winner, placed #80 on Billboard’s annual Power 100 list, was partners in one of the top music supervision firms in the US for over two decades and founded a Grammy-winning independent record label.
PJ’s career soundtrack sales tally more than 50 million singles, 15 million albums and billions of streams. As the Music Supervisor for the groundbreaking Glee franchise, his work holds the record for most charted songs by a single act in Billboard Hot 100 chart history, surpassing Elvis Presley, The Beatles and James Brown.
As a member of the Warner Records leadership team for nearly 5 years, PJ oversaw the creative, marketing and licensing of the record label’s film, television, sports, gaming and soundtrack initiatives across its diverse roster of superstar and emerging artists. He developed major strategic campaigns in partnership with all relevant label divisions including marketing, commerce and revenue, promotion, publicity, fan engagement (socials/digital), International and legal. Under PJ’s leadership, his division delivered all-time record-breaking revenue for the label. While at Warners, PJ also produced The United States vs. Billie Holiday soundtrack delivering the label its first Music in Visual Media Grammy Award in over a decade.
As one of the leading Music Supervisor and Soundtrack Producers for 20+ years, PJ has overseen the creation and execution of music initiatives for over a thousand episodes of television, fifty feature films, gaming platforms, commercial advertisements, sports programming and even amusement park thrill rides. He has collaborated with such prolific filmmakers and television producers as Steven Spielberg, Ryan Murphy, Lee Daniels, Michael Mann, Jerry Bruckheimer and Ridley Scott while rendering his distinctive brand to nearly every studio, network and streamer in the industry. In addition, PJ has been heavily involved in developing best business practices within the media music space for major studios and production entities around the industry.
As the founder of the independent record and publishing label Black Magnetic, PJ A&R’d three Top 10 hits including two #1’s with A Great Big World “Say Something” feat. Christina Aguilera (2B streams, 5M downloads, 2.7B radio audience) and Far East Movement “Like A G6” (750M streams, 7M downloads, 2.5B airplay). “Say Something” also won the Grammy for Best Song by a Duo or Group in 2015, beating Coldplay.
